Well yet again I have proven that I am not the best at keeping this updated... Where to start... Well I am working at a day care now in the infant room and I am enjoying that quite a bit. My last job as not working out because of medical reasons. I am doing much better at this job and have been here for 3 months. I love the people i work with :) Granted i knew them before i started working there so that helped a lot and dealing with babies is not the easiest but it is much easier for me. This is not where I plan on staying forever but it is where I plan to stay for a little while.
Ryan is doing well at his work, they are staying busy and that is always a good thing once winter hits. There are some days when he works till it is dark and he works saturdays just to make sure that the company is going to be able to reach the dead lines for all their jobs and orders.
He is also thinking about going up to school again and getting his MBA in Supply Chain Management. We are looking in to it but have not made any decisions for sure.
Keith is HOME!!! He was released from his mission on October 17th and mom and dad and karee came out to pick him up! He went back home for about 2 weeks and now is living with us and working with Ry until he goes up to school in January. It is nice having him here to help Ryan with his work.
Now onto health... That always seems to be a frequent topic for me but this time I am excited to say that i have actually finally officially been diagnosed with Cushings Disease! I know to some that may seem odd that I am excited to make that kind of announcement, but when you have been arguing with doctors about having a condition for years and being told that you don't and that you don't know what you are talking about, it is nice to finally be validated and taken seriously.... About 4 months ago i switched endocrinologists because i was not getting a hold of or into my other one and i was tired of waiting. So the new doctor looked over my notes and past tests and decided that he wanted to do an Adrenal Vein Sampling. That is where they insert a cathider into the vein that goes directly to the adrenal glands and get a sampling of the cortisol levels directly. When the tests came back both my adrenal glads were overproducing but my left was overproducing severely. My right levels were at about 165 and my left was 420ish... so they are wanting to remove my left to hopefully help even out the distribution of the cortisol... but i am worried my other gland will start to do the same thing. My mom thinks that i should look into holistic methods to see if we can regulate the production of cortisol from my adrenal glads but i am torn because i have already suffered enough things because of this and the longer it stays the worse things seem to get... i want to finally start crossing off things from my "what is wrong with me" list and stop adding.
we also found out a while ago that my uterus is concavical which in other words means it has a lining that goes down the middle of it and we don't know how far it goes down. It could be just a few mm or it could divide it entirely... which could have contributed to the miscarriage earlier this year in march. Cushings is also believed to be a component to that miscarriage as well.
We are hoping to get all of this solved soon so we can start getting a better idea of when we can start trying to have a baby. We are both getting baby hungry but agree that unless it just happens despite our precautions, that we want to wait till my health is back to a safe place. We don't want to risk my life or the babies. March was scary and hard enough as it was that we don't want to put ourselves in that situation if we can avoid it. But we also know that if Heavenly Father wants us to experience something or to have a baby it will happen.
